software problems (virus? spyware?)

Hey guys. I got me a big problem. My computers been running slow lately so i decided to run a virus check and spyware check to see what was up. Well. Seems as of a LOT of applications are refusing to run. No error message or anything, they just wont run. I tried to download some different anti-v apps to see if they'll work, but no dice.

Um, what do i do now?

you can identify the running processes here. but if it comes to the point where you can't get them off. save as much as you can and do a clean re-format, Easier IMO.

Re: software problems (virus? spyware?)

Download a program called HijackThis and run it. Post up the report.

You can check for spyware on your computer with SpyBot http://security.kolla.de/

Check if the programs you are executing are already appearing in your Processes tab in the Task Manager.
