Unexpected engine shut off

Hello all,

I am hoping that someone has some insight on this problem.

My girlfriend's 2005 Taurus has just over 30K miles. The engine has shut off on her 4 times now. The last time was while she was on a freeway interchange. So needless to say this is a major problem. She can start the car backup with out a problem after the shut off.

We have taken the car to the dealership where thier statement was "We can't reproduce the problem."


Anything that you all can recommend would be greatly welcome.

If more info is needed please let me know.
