94' Blazer No start when hot

The EGR is disconnected right now, but it had the same problem where the engine would warm up, and then it wouldn't start right back up once it was shut off. Once it cooled, it started like it should.

Also, does any1 know if a clogged cat converter would cause a rougher idle/startup? Or perhaps a fuel fiilter/pump/pump relay? These are the things I've narrowed it down to, replaced ignition module recently, and I need to fix this problem! The fuel pump seems to prime when its hot, also.
Thanks 4 any info, its got 190k miles on it and im determined to make it to 200k!

Check fuel pressure.

Clean and reconnect your EGR valve with a new EGR gasket. I don't know why you are disconnecting it for.

The EGR is probably the biggest problem I've had with this engine. Every so often it gets stuck open, and makes the truck lose power, stumble and stall. It almost seems to run better without it, even though I know i need it to pass emissions. I cleaned it a few weeks ago and this same thing happened all over. I notice though when the temp gets up around 200, thats when I have the starting problem. Anything less seems to be alright. I see what you mean about fuel pressure. Thanks.

Attach the EGR valve connector again and clean the valve again. You won't get better performance because the EGR gas is needed to control pinging. You will get better fuel economy and performance from a properly running EGR system than unplugging it when you don't know what you are doing.

You have to find the cause of the carbon which probably is the CPI injector and nut kit leaking.
