Went to a car show this weeken and got a run.

I must say that is was absolutely awesome. The had a C5 Z06, C6, 383 Road runner, charger (old one), 440 cuda. The 302 z28 was awesome, it had the chambered exhaust that crackles and pops. These cars were sweet. The most cleanest 3rd gen in the world was there, it was a 92 z28, all original, not one speck of dirt on the damn thing. His exhaust manifolds didn't even have any rust on them, absolutely mint. There was a 04 cobra there, that thing was nice aswell. There was a s10 (some kinda truck) the had the tpi setup with a paxton super charger attached, gave me future hopes. It was the 1st time i went to one of these things and it was the bomb. I wish mine could have been in it, any on can enter there car, but it has to be in a perfect shape, can't raelly say the same for mine. So on the way home, there was this guy in there who had a 93-97 Z28, it was all stock he said, but the hood he had said otherwise (unless he really did just get the hood). Cool guy by the way. The guy who owned the 302 Z28, happened to be taking the samw route as i home. The kid in the Lt1 maro, kept tryin to get me to bite, but my car feels like shit when driving, exhaust hits ground when ever i hit a bump (no shocks, just springs) so i really didn't want to push it. But kept tryin, honking the horn and shit and eventaully i gave in. He's buy his self in the car, i got my friend and brother in the car, which is a total of 550 pounds of extra wieght. There is no way in hell a 305 tpi can hang with an lt1, but i have to say the 305 was holding it down proudly. There wasn't much room to open it up for the lt1, because if there was, it would have been bad. It was an m6, cuz everytime he shifted, i walked past him, but he recovered way too quick. It was fun, very fun. Then the lt1 guy tried pickin on the 302 z28, but i believe he would have had his ass handed to him. Car shows are the best!!

Re: Went to a car show this weeken and got a run.

Rally, i've been really lazy, upgrading the engine power, and not really the handling, the shocks up front are original, while the the ones in the back are blistein, which are blistered out. They basically don't do what they are supposed to do anymore. I don't think the my 305 would take any Lt1, but it did seem like the guy couldn't drive though, i was pulling at 1st, then he went WOT and it was even on passing each other, then he shifted, in which he got left a little bit, then he proceeded to walk me, but it's wasn't by much he was creeping and we where a 80+mph.

550 pounds, that means that if they weighed the same then they are both about 275. If that kid in the lt1 wanted talk smack afterwards, i'm sure those guys could've shut him up pretty damn quick.

550, including me. My bro is about 250, where me and my friend are both at 150. I'm one skinny bastard.

=====================================
Was the 302 Z28 stock? From what I've seen of them, they average high 14 second 1/4 mile times.... so the LT1 may have been a fair race for him. Factory LT1s are doing low 14 second times.

That is the first time I've ever typed/inserted the "iroc" webpage.... I've typed two other pages besides this. I don't type it in my sig because I don't know which page I feel like posting with which posts... notice the different pages?

I'm far from finishing the site, and a few pages are incomplete and not worth browsing yet. Once I get the site finished I will include the main page into my sig.

If the came stock with all that pretty stuff, then yeah. It was definitely loud, you could hear the crackling from far away. My 305 was also way louder than the LT1 too, when he hit WOT, i couldn't really hear him as much as i thought i would, then again he said he was all stock.

Well it may not have been a healthy LT1. Plenty of people don't relize what not keeping up with your maintance does to your vehicles performance but if it was healthy. He would have most likely handed you your ass.
