error code how to?

Hi,
I need to know how can i get de error code my rodeo has the check engine light on. help me

First thing, go out and take your gas cap off and put it back on, be sure it clicks three or four times. You wouldn't believe the number of CEL's that are generated by a loose gas cap.

If that doesn't make the light go out, take your truck to the nearest Autozone. They will read your code for free. If they don't know what the code means, post back here and someone can look it up for you.

codes

dpending on year use a paperclip to jump the two closest prongs on the assembly line data link,a 12 pin terminal located on the drivers side under dash on my 92 rodeoon the right side od 12 pin link and turn key to accessories ,Not all the way on,you should get check engine light to flash codes.refer to haynes manual for troubleshooting.
