found problem for head lights

I've noticed I wasnt the only person on here with head light problems.(1996 Sunfire) One of my head lamps kept blowing and when i put a new one in it would only shine very dimly and i had no high beams. Well after 5hrs of stripping wires and checking voltages and continuity. I found my problem. When I checked the voltage at the lights, one was 12.45v and the other was only 8.9-9.1. But, the voltage at the plug in under the battery terminal (Its a very large plug where all the front lights plug in) was reading 12.45v. This told me the problem was in beyond this point. So, I starting checking all the wires for continuity. It lead me write to the culprit. There is a little switch up in front of the radiator, right in the center of the car called the (DRL). I think it means daylight driving lights, anyways the wires were all corroded. I cut them all off and put new end fittings on them. I plugged them back in and bingo the lights all worked. So, i hope this will help others with similar problems.

Good luck folks

Ya gotta love electricity
