Thumbs down Kia Rio!

So a lady ran into my blazer a couple weeks ago. I just took it into the shop last week and they gave me a kia rio for a rental car. Man does it suck!!! I never knew how much i liked my blazer until now. This sorry excuse for a vehicle has 100 hp and i can reach back and roll down the rear passenger window without moving from the drivers seat. I feel like im gonna get run over when i drive down the interstate! I cant wait until my truck is fixed!

Do what I did, tell them you gave them a truck to fix and you want a truck to drive now. It all works out until you end up with a pumpkin orange nissan xterra! At least it was super charged and no it is not shift on the fly 4 wheel drive hehe

Re: Kia Rio!

HA!!!! I like the pic. Ill have to watch out for you for the next week or so... I now have a higher dislikeing to all the teenagers that get cars like this and put buzzer mufflers and japenese stickers all over it. And they think these cars are fast. Ha. Im thinking about making a cardboard ground effects kit and a cardboard wing so i can look like the rest of them while i have it. Maybee some japan symbols on the glass. You never know it could add a couple horses. lol. Man i miss my Blazer...

Re: Kia Rio!

yeah, all those retarded ass teens (I'm 18yrs old). I cant stand them with their fart cans and their 1.8 High output supercharged 4 banger thats modded to think its fast. Wow, lets waste our money buying a car with a small motor and modding the hell out of it so we can pull 150 horses. My "granny go getter" its been dubbed by all the jerks around here pulls 210 horses, I dynoed it at school. I have a k&n panel filter and drilled some holes in my stock intake box. It really growls from the front end. sounds beefy. almost V8ish when I rev it. Next its getting custom exhause, A shop in a nearby town will do it for $150.00 when its all said and done. i have not yet lost at the lights to a single rice burner. although "beating them is like doing a fat chick, you dont brag about it". I like my 3.1 V6, its won my recpect. Easy to work on, and cheap to get parts for. Not to mention if you ever break a timin belt in a honda or something, goodbye to your valves. I'm perfectally happy with my timing chain. Although its a little noisier than a belt, the pipes will cover that up when they get put on. Well, I'm rambling on here, just had to add my two cents worth. Moral of the story, dont buy a riceburner and add mods and a fart can, and say it puts out 200 horses, cause it doesnt, but a car with a bigger motor right off the bat. I hate the fags that put stupid shit on cars like wings and shit like that, it looks ugly as hell, although I would like a factory spoiler for my ride. Ok, I'm done bitching, take care. FORIEGN VEHICLES SUCK CHEVY TAILPIPE!!!!!!!!

Speaking of stupid things they put on their cars. How about those nos stickers and stearing wheel covers. Dont they know that even if they had nos they would need to rebuild their motor after they used it on a stock engine? At least thats what i understand. I should stop because there is no end to knocking on these "hot rods".HA...

HAHAHA that is a good one. I saw a few rice burners at a light late one night and they both took off squeeling tires and reving engines. I took off at my normal pace and by god if I wasn't right behind them the whole way. My wife and I were both laughing at the "cool" guys racing down the street at a whopping 45 mph. It coudln't have been any funnier unless I actually tried to race with them and pass them in the turn lane. I felt stupid for them because they didn't notice how slow their little cars were moving. I bet they thought they were eating it up until they saw a Blazer behind them that was barly pushing 2500 rpm and staying right on their ass.

Re: Kia Rio!

I remember when 4 cylinder 1500 cc was more than enough for a car. Now I see people buying 5.3 litre V8 driving around town going to the grocery store. Sure he can use his vehicle as a semi but does he. I have a 1.6 litre 98 toyota corolla no mods it still tops 110, I drove it to florida 3 times from NY over a 3 month period and I still get over 30 miles to the gallon. Compared to 18 city, 20-22 highway in my 4.3 vortec Blazer. Ever tried taking a sharp corner at 70 mph in a blazer.. Racing from one traffic light to another is a waste of time, try racing on a narrow 2 lane road with a frigging guard rail in the middle in a bulky ass V8 HEMI dodge ram. You think buying a car will make a difference look around you. My american DELL computer parts were all made in china as well as my american made NIKE. Dont fool yourself into believing you are being patriotic, wanna buy american dont stop at the car check the label on everything before you buy so you can be a true patriot.

I'm sorry dude, but Lumina is a weak vehicle as well... I just sold my 94 Euro and all I can say is that car sucked!!! The body style of that year wasn't to bad, but Chevy had to go with the granny style in 95 or 96.....

Re: Kia Rio!

The main thing about buying "american" is not that all the parts are from america. Chevy, ford, dodge, are assembled in america. Therefore you are supporting the people that work in the factories to put that car together. You buy a kia rio, most of your money is going to wang ming over there in korea.

Weak, my ass. I'd like to line up with you once. I kept right in line with a later model mustang on the freeweay till mine shut off at 105. Jerk was racing too, he kept looking over, I know it probably had the V6 and had an automatic, but you would think it would still be quicker than a "granny grocery go getter". Plus your 94 lumina, if it had the 3.1 in it, they were dogs, my 2001 lumina's 3100sfi is the 3rd generation 3.1, with a better flowing intake, and aluminum heads. I just added a Jet-68002 jet chip, I bought from http://www.summitracing.com you should try that website, almost anything performance for any car. And I put some new tires on it, so it hooks up right away. Still think its weak? If so, if your ever near the twin cities area in minnesota, let me know. We'll line up, same to you KHFINLAY you can choose you little crappin toyota, or even your beasty 4.3 blazer, and I'll walk all over you like your riding a bike. I wont even burn them, hook right up, and see you later.
