A/C 139a fitting location?

Okay maybe I'm crazy or just overlooking something. Where in the world is the "low" side fitting for the A/C compressor, for adding/measuring freon/pressure etc? I see the high side is way over on the driver's side by the airbox (how odd, having it PAST the condensor??) but I cannot find the other one.
I'm sure that placing the compressur so low in the compartment so you can only access from under the car posed some real problems to the engineers. Now why in the wolrd didn't they swap the loc of the A/C comp and the alternator?

The low or"suction" fitting is located close to the strut mount
on the passenger side. You can recharge you system from there
with a kit available from any auto parts store ( around$20-25)
