clunk in reverse

When backing out of the driveway, I hear a clunk noise when the car is shifted into reverse. It sounds like it is coming from the left front wheel. Any ideas?

Re: clunk in reverse

Have your halfshafts checked, you might have a bad CV joint, or possibly the Transmission Mount is bad and causing the engine to rock forward.

I recently had the same problem with my 99 LHS. It turned out to be a loose break caliper. I took my car to VIP auto and they fixed it for free.
