Buying car, need advice and help.

Hello.

I am a 17 year old student who is looking to buy a car. A used one. I have some used cars in mind that I will disclose later in the post. Just to let you know, I dont know jack about cars (maintenance wise, good buys, bad buys etc), so be very basic with the language.

I want to know which of the cars that I will post, have the best fuel economy. I am a student, and dont want to pay more than I have to for gas as it is very very very expensive here in toronto. So please guide me through this.

(1)1995 Pontiac Sunfire.
-Mileage 240,000km.
-E-tested.

(2)1992 Nissan Nx 2000
-Mileage 230,000km

(3)1996 Ford Windstar
-Mileage 210,000
-The owner posted "It has the 3.8" I dont know what that means.

(4)1993 Pontiac Sunbird.
-Mileage 185,000km.
-E-tested and safetied.

(5)1993 Mercury Sable
-Mileage 314,000km.

Ok, how would these cars compare, fuel economy wise, say to a 1990-1992 Toyota Corolla.

And please list in the order of best fuel economy(to the left most) to the worst.

eg. 1,4,3,5,2

Thank you very much.

Re: Buying car, need advice and help.

Forget fuel economy. with the cars you've listed and their mileage, you could be in for some headaches. With vehicles that old/high in mileage, you can probably expect to be paying for regular repairs more than the gas. Unless you're getting a real deal like less than $1000 for something like the sunfire you're getting burned in my opinion.
Anyway back to fuel economy the best would probably be the Nissan, follwed by the two pontiacs, then the Sable or the Windstar.
Personaly if it were me I'd keep looking
