Stalling problem

I have a 1992 Park Ave, when I step on the brakes, sometimes the pedal is really spongy and if I have to stop quick I stall, if I pump the brakes a couple of times the spongy feeling is gone and I don't stall out. Brakes were just checked they are OK, anybody have some input as to possible causes.

Re: Stalling problem

Sounds like air in your lines or the master cylinder going defunct.

I put 3 different master cylinders on my 92 LeSabre in less that 1 yr. before getting one to work after the factory master went out after 10yrs. of service. I tried New and Reman.
First one replacement lasted 2 weeks, second one lasted 2 months, third one lasted six months.
