Re: Sedan Rendering

Welcome to the forum.

So you hang out at cardesignnews?
How is that, do you get lots of help.
It requires a paid subscription, right?

I think it is fantastic that you are rendering using programs.

Are you taking an art class?

yea, woops 97_sho your right, my bad. sry but i misplaced my sketch lol, and for some reason i deleted the layer outa photoshop, if i find it i'll post it tho, i didn't know what else to call it and i thought about adding a fourth door but yea, idk, i think that look pretty bad, id have to squeez the front door up a bit go make room, oh well tho.

Cardesignnews has free and a paid membership, the paid members just get more access on the site (maybe more room for stuff, im not sure). but with the free memborship u get your own portfolio and access so most of the site. I haven't gotten much help yet, I was hoping to get more but idk, i only started it a few weeks ago.

I am currently not in an art class i haven't really taken one ever besides the basic art class at school, i woulda done sketching II this year (freshman) but i didn't have room in my schedule with my required classes and German class. Im all self taught tho with photoshop besides some tutorials online and my neighbor has showed me some stuff. Im about to buy a tablet and was noticing the great price on the Aiptek Hyperpen 1200u and wanted to know if anyone else had any oppinions on that. otherwise i just use a mouse, seems to be working.

I want to take some art classes but there arn't many options for me right now.

thanx guys.

Re: Sedan Rendering

First of all, this is the right section. It's not graphic manip if you're not using a base picture to chop/manipulate... correct me if i'm wrong. But guys like lemorris, blip, roboduck, grantrl etc. render their stuff digitally.

As for the rendering, it looks good! The bottom of the windshield, front grille, front lip. etc. aren't parralel to each other.

Re: Sedan Rendering

Nice work, to me some of your designs have a very cool "CAR-toon" look.
I like your style of exaggerated proportions.
Are you trying for a toony look or a realistic rendering?

And I'm one those who starts with a hand-drawn sketch,
but then digitally redraws the image in a vector program.

Look forward to seeing more of your artwork.

Yea, i was that started out as real quick sketch in the middle of english class i think lol. I like to mess with the proportions to get a Car-Toony look, i also do more realistic sketches but lately ive only been doing the toony ones. But yea, i'll get some more realistick sketches on to once i do some good ones so u can see some of those.

What program do you use Blip??

I use an older program called Expression 3.
Microsoft bought the company than created a new version of the program called "Acrylic" and has made it available as a free beta test download.

Here's a link to the program, if you're interested....Acrylic
