Mounting a tach
hey i have a 94 cavalier 2.2L and i bought a 2 inch tach but i'm have a great deal of trouble deciding where to put it on the dash. If anyone has an opinion about where top mount it tell me please.

I also have a 1994 Cavalier. I will be buying a 5.5" Autometer for it in the near future and it will be mounted over the drivers side dash speaker. Just an idea, lol. Hope you figure it out.

I have a 3 inch SunPro tach that I've been waiting to install for this reason, I was thinking about mounting it to the right side of the gauge cover above the dome light switch since puting it over the left speaker would block some beautiful sound waves. I have heard that you need an adapter for our DIS setups, but I have also heard that you don't need one. He said to look for the two white wires coming from the ignition module, one is for the tach, the other is for something else. I was told to try one white wire and if you use the wrong one it will run crappy and you'll know to use the other white wire. So I think the adapter "myth" has been busted.
