trunk release
got a 93' super coupe with the trunk release and fuel release in the glove box. the fuel release works fine but the trunk release does nothing. blown fuse? also i have no key to the trunk and was wondering if anyone had any info on getting a key for it cuz the key i use to start isnt the same as the trunk pattern.

sometimes dealer can cut key off vin number other wise call locksmith not too expensive your trunk lock may or may not be electric some had cables if electric the release solenoid is probably bad

the switch can be bad. you should be able to install another switch pretty easy. if you want a trunk switch that looks like the oem switch, you may have to contact ford.

Take a 12 volt power wire and touch it to the wire going to the solenoid if it pops then it is probably a bad switch if not I would believe it is the soleniod. About the key dealers can usually only do this for vehicles that are a couple of years old so I would try the locksmith.
