Turbocharger Exhaust leak

Hey i was hoping someone could give me some helpful advice with this car.
i'm working on a Toyota Supra MKIII 86 Turbo model so far i've replace alot in it sealing up vacuum leaks changing out spark plugs pretty much the hole 9 yards but now that all thats done the only problem that i see that remains is the leak in the turbo it smells like burning rubber and oil after driving it. but at first it seems to run ok with very lil hesitation.
i'm just wondering if it is the oil seal or bearings what can i do to fix it without resorting to buying a new turbo or do i have to go in that direction and just get a new turbo? and yes the car stalls out when it starts to smoke and prolly needs a head job but its not that bad i dont think. should be the end of it besides the fuel filter.
