LocalSPL meet?

my car club wants to sponsor a local SPL meet, but we dont have the 2000$ for a TL mic, are there any alternatives the the TL mic? its doenst have to be official, jsut fairly accurate, we jsut wanna have some fun and settle some disputes.

what else would we need for a SPL comp, aside from the mic and a place to do it?

usually, you get a shop to sponsor the contest thru one of the sanctioning bodies.

but if we cant, there arent any audio shops within 50 miles.

not uncommon for me to drive 20-60 miles to go to a competition .... and I just compete for fun. See if the nearest shop will sponsor a comp.

You don't even need a shop just contact dbdrag or meca..... that's what NGSM13 did when we were setting up the UC car audio meet (he used DBDrag)

yea, the organizations are pretty good about helping people out with setting up/running a contest
