98 windstar remote door locks

can someone help me on this? when locking or unlocking using my remote, neither front door will lock or unlock, however the side and read doors work well, both locking and unlocking. is there an easy fix for this?

What about when you use the power lock buttons inside? Do all the doors lock/unlock ok then?

sorry, guess I should have mentioned that...no, the locks don't work by using the buttons inside either, but either way, remote or buttons, the side and rear doors will lock or unlock, just not the front

Hmmm.... On my 1996 Windstar the power locks are on fuses #3 and #37 so I think you should check/replace them so we can rule that out. Did both front door locks stop working at the same time? If so then we can probably rule out bad motors/acuators for the locks I would think. Do you hear anything moving in the front doors when you press the remote/inside buttons? If not your problem sounds electrical, maybe a loose wire or something shorting out. Sorry I can't be of more help. Perhaps another member has some ideas.
