Low Coolant Light

Got Low Coolant Light on dash while driving home from work. Checked coolant.....was low. Flushed system and replaced fluid with proper amount of Dexicool. How do I reset Low Coolant Light. Right now it is unplugged from reservior? WHen plugged back in light stays on.
Thanks

Your car should reset itself after awhile just plug the sensor back in and wait........ The computer will asses the coolent level and the light will eventually go away since the problem is fixed. You shouldnt need a reflash or nothing. This happened to me and thats how I fixed it.
This is assuming you have a 99+ grand am car.

I also forgot to mention if you have air in the coolent it can keep the light on aswell. Did you have it flushed at a shop or did you DIY?

Im not 100% sure but I think the 97 and previous models were pretty much the same ODBII setup as the 99+. Dont quote that cus Im not a mechanic. Id give it a try but if you flushed it yourself listen for popping sounds after goin a hard burn. The poping sound will be comming from the coolent lines that will indicate air in the line. Oh and good for you DIY is a great way to learn your car
