Firewall location

Exactly Where is the factory firewall located in the 91-96 escorts on the driver side, is it behind the gauges. Theres so many wires i cant seem to find anything. Thanks.

The firewall is the wall between the motor and the passanger compartment.

If you want to get technical about it you might even say that it's the section that it double walled, which is the top half.

I don't have an escort manual, and my Topaz is diesel so I can't just look and help you but you might want to start a new thread asking the owners for info on what you really need help with.

Ya well i noe wut a firewall is, i need to find the firewall to run wires through the passenger compartment and the engine compartment, i just thought it might have and opening on the drivers side cause i dont wanna drill holes. SO thnx anywayz.

Oh, now I understand.

What I usually do is carefully peel back the top of the carpet, and you'll usually find some pre drilled factory holes. Some might have wires in, but extra room, and some might even have a plug in.
If it has a plug in buy some gromets from the parts store. They protect the wires.
