A arms & lower ball joints shot. Difficult to replace?

Jacked up the Metro today to investigate some SEVERE torque steer happening while letting off the gas to shift to the next higher gear.

A-Arm bushings are shot, and one lower b. joint is too. Both on passenger side.

If this a difficult repair ? I'm quite mechanacally inclined, but have never dealt with struts or removing the entire Aarm.
Are these bushings replacable, to do you just buy the whole Aarm assembly ? The ball joint shouldnt be too bad to tackle . Never did a lower, only uppers on larger GM RWD products.

Thanks! I sure love this car so far.

you have to replace the control arm the bushings and the ball joint as a assembly. as long as the car isn't rusty so you don't snap the bolts its only a hour a side or less

I had both lower control arms replaced in my Metro within the last year by a local shop. Both required the use of a cutting torch to remove. Hopefully yours are not that rusted in place.
