Lightbulb power steering

I have aproblem in my power steering in my 2004 GTO.
On hard acceleration the steering seems to lose power steering, I checked the belt tension and that does not seem to be a problem, also changed the fluid to Red Line fluid. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: power steering

Thats an odd one, I would check to see the play in the belt, I know that "worn" belts tend to get longer.

I would take it to the dealer and see if a recall was noted at all, I do know that some 04s have a problem with the mph needle going wacko.

Good luck
