88 Bronco2 Eddie Baurer Problems

My Broncos Problem Is A Big Mystery!!!!!it Will Start And Run For A Few Minutes Then The Rpm Gauge Will Fluxuate Then It Will Die Suddenly.will Start Again Then Die.now I've Changed The Fuel Filter, plugs, plug Wires, distributer Cap, Rotor Bug,fuel Canister Is Not Clogged, new Air Filter, new Oil And Oil Filter, low Pressure Fuel Pump Is Working, had A Mechanic Diagnose It And Said It Was The Tps And Had It Replaced But Still Doing The Same Thing.and When It Is Running I Would Press On The Accelerator And It Would Hesitate Then Rem Up Then Die While The Gas Is To The Floor.has Plenty Of Gas,plug Wire Are In The Right Order, had Ignition Coil Tested And They Said It Was Good.oh And One Thing Is Before It Started Acting Like This I Had Diconnected The Battery To Change The Terminals And Was Not Connected For About 1hr.please Help Because Its Been Sitting In One Place For Almost A Year.can It Be Fixed Or Do I Need To Sell It For Parts?what Do Yall Think?its A 2.9l V6 Fuel Inj 2wd A/tranny.

I don't think I made alot of sence on my last post. When I say running I was meaning Idle.It would idle for a few minutes then die.I can't drive it because it would die if I was to drive off on it. So now it just sits there collecting dust.

Re: 88 Bronco2 Eddie Baurer Problems

have you tried your idle air control valve (IAC)? I recently had the same problem with my 1990 Bronco 2 and that was the problem. I thought for sure it was the Throttle position sensor, and man was I pissed when I that didn't fix it. Turns out it was the IAC. They are about 40 bucks at autozone. Good Luck. Jesse
