converting hard top to a soft top
I just bought a 1995 wrangler which came with a factory hardtop and full doors. I was wondering if I could buy a kit to make it a soft top during the summer months. I also have a bikini top for it, but I'ld like a regular soft top, just in case it starts to rain, I could put the top up. Would the soft top frame mess up anything, so the hard top wouldn't fit properly?

Re: converting hard top to a soft top
Buy a soft-top used from someone, or new. Quadratec sells 'em in their money pit mag. www.Jeepstuff.com as well, if your in Canada.

Re: converting hard top to a soft top
I just bought a wrangler, and it only has a soft top. I've been looking into getting a hard top for it, and from what I've found, the only thing that would make switching from using the hard top to using the soft top, or the other way around, is that the soft tops use a "belt rail" that is bolted to the top edge of the body tub, to hold down the bottom of the soft top. this rail, as well as the frame for the soft top would have to be taken off in order to put the hard top back on. if you use only the soft top in the summer, and hard top in the winter, I guess it wouldn't be to bad, 'cause you'd only have to install and remove the soft top "belt rail" and frame twice a year. oh, and I'm not sure about other ones, but the "bestop supertop" will work with your full steel doors.
