The great Hotrod build off.

Blubaja and I have decided to have a little build-off between the two of us. The subject: Revell's '32 Ford. We will both post our progress in this thread etc.

Here is the start of mine:

I've backdated my drivetrain with parts from a '40 Ford since the Revell '32 has a modern drivetrain, using the block/tranny/oilpan from the same kit. I also am using a lot of RMoM flathead parts, because I like the look of them all and this car is a great excuse to use them. I've channeled just the front of the body so that it sits leaning forward, and I bent the rear of the framerails to match it and so it won't look funny. I'm also planning to use a MCG PE grill and grill shell, the 4" chopped one so it will match the rake of the body. Body will be two tone, TS French Blue and white. Long way to go, but this is the progress so far.

Thing looks fast ! just kidding. The blue on the wheels looks very cool. This is going to look very classy when finished. I can sense it

I like that French Blue on there. Looking forward to seeing it dressed up with the MCG and RMCoM parts.

Re: The great Hotrod build off.

Sorry I'm late.

As Will said, this is a build off.

I really am not sure what the hell I am going to do yet. Either a dual carbed motor, with the block that comes with the kit. Or, the flathead from the pickup truck with hopped up parts from the caddy parts pack engine. I am tying to keep ot 50's themed. Believe me I think about this project every day. And keep coming up with more ideas. lol Theres a PE set somwhere I have for this too. Printed this out on decal paper for my interior.

Looks great so far will!

this should be interesting for sure! Will, if you dont need the body from the '40 id be willing to buy it for a few bucks. im trying to build my Grampas old '41 but the '48 is more suitable for most things but i do need the '40 body for the fenders and hood. thanks.

ill be keeping an eye on this one. is there a wager, any stakes
