97 Grand Cherokee headlights stay on - have to pull the fuse to turn them out
My 97 Grand Cherokee was broken into and almost stolen from my driveway. The ignition was completly beat out. I replaced the ignition but since the repair the headlights remain on even when the vehicle is turned off. The only way I can turn the headlights out is by pulling the fuse under the hood. When the fuse is in place the headlights seem to always be functioning as brights. I am really not sure how to fix this. If anyone can offer some advice I would certainly appreciate it!!

For anyone who might experience this same issue... well... hopefully, no one will try to hot wire your vehicle - unplugging the daytime running light module fixed this issue for me!!

I had this problem and it turned out to be the running light module under the left side of the dashboard . When I puled the fuse , the truck wouldn't start . I disconnect the positive batterey terminal , then pulled the fuse, reconnected the positive and the truck started and ran fine. Unfortunatley , the module costs about $300 . Lookin back now , I should have tried to by-pass the module also and saved the bucks . good luck.

Could also be a relay
