infinity speakers bad
My Speakers vibrate when I have the bass up half way. Do I need to replace them or is there something I can do to relieve this?

Try Crutchfield for replacement speakers. They have pretty good technical support and can match speakers to your system. One replacement speaker from Jeep is over a $100.

Re: infinity speakers bad
Leave the radio off?
Seriously, isolate each of them and make sure you know how many are bad. If its just one, replace it with a nicely matched Chrysler speaker. On the other hand-if its a 97- it might be time to call Crutchfield. |

I had two go bad. I replaced them with the same models at $5 each from the bone yard. Next time I will get a set of new aftermarket speakers. All four doors can be done under $200.00.

I'd suggest EBAY or internet before calling crutchfield. I just bought a 97 Laredo, and the 4 Infinity speakers were blown (use Fader and Balance to isolate 1 speaker at a time to confirm.) Anyway i called crutchfield and they recommended the Infinity 6012i Reference speakers for $99 a pair. I saw they had them at Circuit city and went and listened to them. I found them online for $52 a pair plus shipping. Bought 2 pairs, saved about $80. And they sound FANTASTIC. Now all i have to do is decide whether to get a Subwoofer for the back.... good luck. |

Thanks for the reply. I had the same reaction to thier prices. I spent $5 at the bone yard and replaced them for now. Over the winter I will install something better at have what they quoted.
