Paint problem part 3!
Called the dealership yesterday to see how the repainting of the hood was going. The owner of the dealership answered the phone and said that the service manager had been fired for lying to customers! Better yet, he said that he could find no authorization from GM for the paint work on my hood and wanted me to pay $1600 bucks! After about 5 minutes of very hot conversation, I got on the phone to GM customer service. They took all the info and agreed with me 100%. About 20 minutes later the dealership owner called me back to apologize and say that my car would be ready Monday or Tuesday and that GM was authorizing the fix. He also said he had called the police about the service manager but it didn't look like they could do anything.
Just when I thought I had heard it all. |

Re: Paint problem part 3!
GM probably had authorized the repair anyway and he was just trying to scam an extra $1600 bucks out of you.
Car Dealerships (most of them) = a legal version of organized crime! It definately PAYS to know the people that work there or your bound to get screwed over sooner or later |
