So the driver side seat heater AND power seat buttons dont work.

Usually if the heater doesnt work its due to a shorted or heater pad in the seat which requires replacement of the seat cover with integrated heater pad. Easy way to tell if the heater pad is bad ( remove the switch for the passenger seat heater and plug into the connector for the driver side seat heater and see if the driver side works. If it does than the switch is bad. If it still doesnt work than its the heater pad in the seat. Also check the fuses before swapping the switches )

you have to remove the seat from the car. And then disassemble the covers on the bottom ov the seat, then the pad comes off the seat.

Smile Re: Heated seats

Our driver side heated seats failed. There was a spot on the left hand side that became alarmingly hot and then the seat heating function stopped. This is a known issue with Passat & Audi. The dealer replaced the seat (leather & heater) even though the car was off warranty.
