2000 Cherokee Neutral Safety Switch
Follow up on previous post:
Still searching for cause of P0740 code. My mechanic jumped out the NSS with a starter button configuration rather than replacing it or cleaning it. Since the trouble started back in 2003 I can't really remember which acted up first, the check engine light (P0740 code) or the NSS. Is it possible or likely the jumped out switch is causing the problem. The transmission has been rebuilt twice since this began. Once at 70K and then again at 71K and the problem persists. Check engine light (P0740) started coming on at 37K. Next week when I carry it back to the shop they plan to check into the NSS. Any thoughts? |

Re: Re: 2000 Cherokee Neutral Safety Switch
check engine light is on....code P0740 TCC.... runs fine...changes gears properly however the fluid is getting dark although the mileage since the last rebuild is less than 1K. It does have a transmission fluid cooler.
