jetta headlamp & tail light installation
I have a 99 wolfsburg. My head light was cracked by what looks like a rock and my tail light was cracked by who-knows-what-or-when. Long story short, I've purchased new parts for both and would like to install them myself. Can this be done? I removed the battery and have already taken off one nut and one screw from the top but I can't see what is securing the bottom of the lamp to the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
My apologies if this post is in the wrong place or for any other goofs. Thanks again. |

Re: jetta headlamp & tail light installation
If it's the new jetta (99.5) then the tail lights are three nuts inside the trunk and a big plastic all-bulbs-in-one plug. The headlights are a bit tricky... you've gotta take the front bumper and grill off to change out the headlight. If it's the older body style (A3) then I've got no advice, never did the work.
