I replacing the head on a 91 4.3 I have 2 books one say to torque the head to 65 the other say 92 what the right one?

65 is what my 350 took, so i would say that sounds about right... but you need to know the tightening steps (number of times you need to tighten to get to 65) and torque order

The GM service manual says 65ft lbs on my 93 4.3, but to do it it three steps, and in a certain sequence. First, 25 ft lbs, 2nd 34 ft lbs and then 65 ft lbs. I do not have a scanner, so here is the best i can do.
