Hi ya'll,
Yep, from the South. I have worked as a helicopter mechanic in the Army (Crewchief/Doorgunner) in Vietnam in 1968, and as a Chrysler mech in 1971, a truck fleet mechanic with Bellsouth for a couple years, and have been an aircraft mechanic on floatplanes for a year. Finally found my niche in electronics and retired from Bellsouth in 2002 after 30 years. With today's cars, I feel way out of my element, but will try to help others as I seek knowledge myself.
