|
How to put a child car seat in the back of a 1st gen?
As alot of you have probably experienced it is not easy to put a car seat in the back seat of a 1st gen. Has anybody figured out this art? The problem is with the seat belts cause they are way to high and long to allow the shoulder seat belt just connect with ease. Any advise will be much appreciated.

most 1g's have like hook/brackets in the back floorpan for child seats. i guess they had a strap that went from the top of the seat to the back floor or something? im not sure i know they are funky

ya, called tether straps... so child seat doesn't flip forward in a frontal crash...
if you have a rear strut tower bar, u can also wrap the tether strap on a forward facing child seat around it.

Well the real difficulty that I am having is when you have to put the shoulder straps of the back seat through the loops on the car seat and connect into the seat belt clicker (the clicker is doesnt bend easily).

hmm, use the clicker on the other side of the seat area... if child seat on pass side, use the driver side clicker thingie. (& vice versa).
is that what u mean? i have done this to my nissan 240sx
