Thread size for shifter knob

alright does anyone know the thread size for a 1989 crx? sorry i just got the car and i want to get a new shifter knob and i cudnt think of any other way to find the thread size out. thanks

Not sure the thread size, but most aftermarket shift knobs don't screw on from what I've seen... basically, I'm not a big fan of them. I use a DA integra knob cuz I like having each hand using similar feeling parts (ie. steering wheel and knob)...

i always thought shifter knob thread size was a universal standard. you could just get any shifter knob from a junkyard or walmart or whatever, and so long as it's the type that screws on it'll fit. now getting it to be tight AND facing the right direction may require a spacer or two. i'm not certain that all shifters were the same legnth, etc. but this is only speculation. i really don't know. i swapped my ugly chrome solid... aluminum??... shifter knob for a stock crx shifter knob, so there were no compatibility issues for me.
