just got my '03 ZX3...

It's a 2003 white focus zx3, only 15,000 miles on it..i really like the car, it doesn't compare performance wise to my last car but it has a kick to it..anyway i was interested in the aftermarket parts available for the car, i found focussport which is a california company that tests and sells products for all focus models, and i just want to know of any other good sites or magazines based on the focus...

Re: just got my '03 ZX3...

well...in order not to start wasting money on the car...what do you want to do to it?

i only say that b/c there's everything from turbo kits to V8 RWD conversions...i wouldn't start anything until you know what you want...and getting i/h/e first would also be a waste...

if you still indecisive...then start off with cosmetics

For parts, in addition to FocusSport, try focus-central.com, steedafocus.com, and a much more active Focus forum at focaljet.com.

thanks, cfm had a lot more items in my price range..i also was wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to remove pinstriping? oddly enough it came on the focus when the first owner bought it and i'm just curious if it would be expensive to remove them and how it would be done, would it be taken off and have to be repainted or what?

heres a photo of the striping...

Re: just got my '03 ZX3...

Unless it pulls up paint, which it shouldn't, that won't need repainting...usually, you can do it yourself by heating it up with a hairdryer, peeling away the decal, the using some adhesive remover to get the remaining residue off. If that doesn't work, a shop shouldn't charge much at all to remove it.
