Changing rear shocks
1996 LX code W
When the rear shock absorbers are replaced is it better to try and disconnect the top of the shock by reaching in the side thru the wheel well, or from underneath, or both? It looks like it is going to be a real headache to do. Thanks in advance. Wheel7 |

I'd like to know too. It really blows that ford could drill a damn hole in the trunk!

the way I do them is from the side on a 2 post lift(or floor jack under side) I cut the plastic boot enough to clamp vise grips on the rod. put gear wrench on nut and turn nut off using the vice grips to turn shaft. easiest way I have found.
