eclipse tuning better???
hello, again.....................i know u guys are tired of me posting, but which is better for tuning, a 3000gt base or vr4, or a 1999 eclipse gsx?

look Jimmy, can I call you Jimmy? o.k., Jimmy that is a very broad and difficult question. as you may or may not know "tunning" means "to change the way a vehicle performs." this means that cars behave according to what you put into them right? well imagination and money play a huge roll in tunning. VR-4 are very powerfull from factory and very expensive to tune but can be made into monster cars. there is a JGTC-style GTO in japan tunned to 800hp and it blows the crap out of alot of cars, its not built for drag racing.....only americans like dragracing! its built for road courses and grand-touring. you wil never NEVER! find an eclipse built like that! the eclipse is easy and very cheap to tune and yes, the GSX can be faster then a VR-4 but it makes a poor road car, its just a good drag racer when built right. The base model 3000GT is also rarely seen tunned but I bet a Ripp-mods SC and some carbon-body mods will monsterize any base model. so you see its all up to how imaginative you are and how much money you have, like Young always says "anything can be made fast" and its true. would you be surprised if I told you I can make my sisters 93 tercel into a faster car then any 3000GT on the planet, hell I can even make a Tercel spank a Ferrari Enzo! how? simple I have the imagination to strap two Jet-engines from a F-22 Raptor onto the tercel and let it loose on the nevada sand flats, it will kill the Enzo easy! just gotta be RICH! and imaginative. in conclusion your question was as hard to answer as "who is stronger, Hercules, Thor or the incedible Hulk? hope that helps Jimmy, good night and God bless Booyaah.

I used to own a 98 gst and its easy to tune and make faster with BARELY any money at all! A GSX will be better since its AWD. But all in all... i perfer tuning a VR-4 over the eclipses.. why? It looks sexyer and is more rare everyday. Stock VR-4 will take an eclipse anyday but i rather go vr4 since i rather have real parts then going to home depot to buy my mods lol.

I agree with viet...Its supposed to be that the GSX's are better because u can run better times(if u are loaded with cash that it)and the vr-4 is just for u can load up the chicks(or chick cause its pretty small). I see a bunch of gsx's(there still bad though) and see a vr4 once a month. My conclusion:
The GSX is much much much easier to mod. BUT The VR-4 Is Sexier

I would say go with the VR-4 over the GSX. I love the way the 3000gt body style looks, and the power is there to begin with. The eclipse body style is also quite sexy though.....too bad mine wasn't turbo, it would look a lot sexier.
