Door locks

2001 lxi with auto door lock. Doors unlock but wont lock automatically by pressing door button. What would cause this?

When you say Auto door lock, u mean Keyless entry pretty much,right? If so, check that sensor as it may need to be replaced

My sebring just started doing this, but a little intermittent. Had it at the dealer for some other problems and they said it wasn't doing it right now, but my AirBag light problem was a loose connector under the seat (?). Possibly it may also have fixed the door lock problem.. picking up the car tonight so I'll see if it went away for good.

Yes its a 4 door with keyless entry.

Yes my sebring is a 4 door with keyless entry. Will unlock with the remote as well as with the button inside the car. But will not lock with the remote or from inside the car. Have to manually press the locks down by hand to lock car.

I am having a similar problem. Is there any places to look to see. I first though it was my battery, but I have since replaced that. I disappeared for about a month and now its back.
