14b turbo acting wierd
Well I am still looking to buy this car its a real fixer upper with gold rims lol. Well when I got to test drive it I felt some wierd things this was my first time driving a turbo car. When I hit about 5krpm the turbo seemed to die and bog down the car. It felt like my slow eclipse. There is not smoke or anything but the turbo is the the orginal and its got 118,000 miles. Do stock turbos die at 5krpm or are they supposed to pull till redline.

If its a 2g dsm, its a T25, usually cuts down boost at 5k rpms

no its a 1g i have another post. I should have put this question in ther. But it was early in the mourning and i did not no what i was doing. Oh and it dose not seem to cut down boost as much as the turbo just seems to turn off.
