Re: Thinking about getting one

performance, stock it's like any other regular stock car as far as acceleration, maybe a bit quicker. I assume by old old you mean pre 1988 which is the 1st generation, 88-91 is the second. Handling in the car is a dream on stock suspension and even better if you get a performance set up, I can take turns...lets just say very fast with out having a tire squeel, the car is extremely light. Stock there are three sub-models which are the HF which is an 8 valve 4 cylinder and is the lightest, gets 50mpg, 60hp...the DX which is the middle and is a 16 valve 4 cylinder and gets high 30's in the city, 90Hp...and the Si which is basically the multipoint fuel injection version of the DX with a sunroof 110Hp. Motor swaps are pretty cheap if you're looking for an added thrill, reliability is very high on these motors, it has a few quircks but this forum can help you through them. Over all it's a great car in my opinion, but don't try to carry more than 1 other person in it, it's no fun.

Re: Thinking about getting one

yeah, the CRX is a great little car in stock or Modified form, Parts are relatively cheap and easy to get. From Drag to autoX the crx has a Huge following they are a great car... I personaly own 2.

you can Turbocharge a D16 and get 220+hp relatively cheaply or Go all out and built a 550hp street monster for about 10k (give or take a G or so)

they are the platform of choice for any serious Honda Drag racer... so yeah... get it.
