2001 Ranger 4.0 Takes awhile to turn over

Which do I need to replace next Fuel Pump or Fuel Pressure Regulator? Its taking 3-6 sec to turn over pump after that it drives fine. The problem is only when I start it. Where is the Fuel Pressure Regulator on my Year and model, and how do I know what size base I have?

Have the fuel pressure checked out. The starter/battery/alternator sounds like it's doing it's job unless it's cranking really slow. It's job is to rotate the engine, not neccesarily control the air fuel mixture to initally start the truck itself.

Not sure about the CEL. I know a little about the older ECC-IV computers. Some older models, yes. Newer ECCs, I doubt it, get it scanned anyway if you feel it's needed. I imagine you can find information on scanning them yourself.

If you want to clear the computer, just leave the dome light on and unhook the battery for 30 minutes or so. Though, it may run a little awkward for a short while. There are scalars the computer saves each run to help make the truck run as efficient as possible. These scalars will be reset.
