Fire Starter
ok so im driving and i park my car and i see smoke coming from under my hood so i pop the hood and the area by my coil is all on fire, what could causethis area to catch on fire, i gave my car a tune up yesturday and this happened today, i put in denso iridium plugs, ford racing 9mm wires, and stock cap and rotor, was it a bad wire? was it because of higher power spark plugs? what caused this fire? thanks

well I think first you have to answer what was actually burning the parts ie cap wires or grease or what? The cap will not just catch on fire neither will the wires,,,what kind of car what year what engine,,,did you accidently crack a fuel line? something like this more than likely happened and not the cap or wires catching fire,,,this is abnormal,,it had to have a flammable to catch fire,,the cap if it had melt down would do just that melt and I dont even think they will melt except under extreme heat. So when you get it back together better be sure because like I said these parts dont just catch fire ,,,fuel or something else had to start it. Good luck!
