94 Blazer spare tire mount
Hello,
I have a 1994 s10 4x4 blazer that has the spare tire mounted inside the car. As this takes up a fair amount of space, I was wondering if it possible to mount it under the car like the newer cars offer today? I have already considered the tailgate mount (need too much room to swing out the arm when in tight spaces like the garage) and mounting on the roof (not too keen on making an suv more top-heavy and would be hard to get it up and down). Any ideas?? Thanks in advance! |

Re: 94 Blazer spare tire mount
SBlazer is right, there is no room underneath. Is your inside spare full size? If so switching to a mini spare will save you some room. Since I would always fix (or replace) a flat ASAP, I see no reason to have the full size anyways.
Oh yeah. Welcome aboard!

Re: 94 Blazer spare tire mount
Gas tank down there. On my 91 its inside not really that big a problem but i know on my dads 01 its a pain inside. You could always lay it on the floor back there and bolt it down. That would give you full visibility out the back window but no cargo room unless you dropped the seat.
