Greetings!
I have recently inherited a 1986 B2000. Runs good, gets pretty good mileage from what I can tell (20 - 25). Trouble is, the heat-A/C blower does not work. Neither do the fuel and temp gauges. Could these be related or traced to the same cause? Seems wierd to me that three electric items in the dash would all be out simultaneously. Any ideas? Thanks cc |

Sounds like a lose connector, maybe some old wires that are broken inside, blown resistor pack for the blower motor.
I'm pretty sure its probably 2 seperate problems maybe 3 because the wire on the temp sensor goes straight to the gauge with I think only 2 connectors, one at the sensor and one at the back of the cluster. Its late and I need to get to bed, I'll have to look through the fac manual and see if there is anything common in the 3. Good possability it is 3 seperate problems, all 3 of these are common problems although this is the first time I've heard all 3 at the same time.

as with any electrical concern, check all fuses first... you would be surprised how many good techs get their ass burned by a blown fuse.
