shaky start

hi everyone - new to the forum - have a 94 thunderbird, 4.6l, v8 - i just replaced the throttle position sensor cuz i had problem with accel. - you know, the wonderful hesitation when steppin on the gas from a cold start - and it seems to fix that - but I still seem to have a shudder/hesitation when first starting the engine...any clues? I don't have that 'oh no where's the power?" problem when I'm driving, but when I first start it just seems shaky.

any help appreciated

Di

Re: shaky start

When was the last time your thunderbird was tuned up??? If its been awhile, I would have have a complete tune up. If this problem on occurs when the engine is cold, then it could be moisture in your distributor cap. I use to have a similar problem in a lincoln continental i once owned. It turns out that i had a vacuum leak. So you might want to replace the pcv valve as well....

Should have a DIS ignition system. No cap to hold moisture.
