Unhappy brake problems

on my 97 eagle talon i noticed when i was driving that whenever i press down the brake pedal to stop and then release it it makes a squeekin sound. i think its just the cable but im not sure

could someone tell me whats the prob???

Re: brake problems

Could just be the pedal or is it from the brakes? My pedal was squeeky. Wd-40 to the rescue. It was so loud it sounded like it was coming from the brakes though. So see what it is first.

yeah it must be the cable or sumthin because one of my friends said they could hear it standing outside of the car

i dont think its the actual brakes since it doesnt squeek when i press down on it. it only squeeks when i release
