Question horn chirp with keyless entry

I have a 2000 z24 with the keyless entry. In the instruction manual, it says you can have the alarm chirp the horn when you lock or unlock the car with the keyless entry. it says your dealer must perform this service. is there anyway to do this myself, or is it done with a computer?

I would imagine they re-program the EPROM for the alarm to make it do it...which you need a special programming tool to do.
