4L60-E Help!!

I just removed the valve body and installed a new valve body gasket and 4 solenoids, I put everything back together, as I dumped 1 half-filled bucket of dirty fluid into a bigger bucket I noticed a steel dowel, tapered on the ends about 1 3/4" long in the bottom of the bucket, It must of fell out while removing the valve body, Where does it go???????? I started the truck, ran it through each gear, but didn't want to move it until I find where this has to go.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Re: 4L60-E Help!!

It is a screen/filter looking thing made of plastic? I know you said steel, but I had a 1 3/4" tapered screen fall out of mine the same way (it was a cone shape I guess). If thats not it, then I guess it could be an accumulator piston - it is hard to picture one of those just falling out though. There are a number of smaller pins that hold the different plugs and retainers in place - none in any of the solenoids though.

Well, I took it all apart again. It was a acculumator pin that goes on the upper side of the steel plate, after I removed everything, there was a plunger with a hole in the middle and no pin.
Thanks for all your help!!
