Anyone had this problem you cant hear it put-put but you feel it, I would describe it as when you floor it or just start to back up when the car has been sitting for a while it just jerks sorta like it isnt getting gas or the engine is trying to cut off but it just puts around like I have a solar panel car and its really cloudy that day. Anyone know what I mean?
Someone told me to check the Airfilter which sounds like a smart idea. Anyone know where that is on a 2k Neon? Thank for any help. |

Re: 2000 Neon Hit the gas and car goes put-put
Your description doesn't leave us much to go on.

Not to sound like a jerk but if you don't know where the air filter is you may just want to take it to a shop. How many miles are on your car?

Your air filter is on th drivers side, quite large, just befor your grill. You will need a phillip screwdriver to loosen the bolts, and then there are a couple of metal snap ons.
If you get it out , put the filter up to the sun and see if its totaly dirty. Theres a chance it may be your fuel filter also, or your might be lacking fuel pressure. Wish you luck. |
