It has been a few days (weeks) since I posted. The car is still at the garage!!! But this is not a bad thing really..the owner is not charging me for a second opinion if I let him do it in his time. So I figureed-sitting in my drive or his lot really doesn't matter which!
But so far he has not found anything that indicates to him that the engine is shot. He said there is another test thats pretty intense that he needs to do. Something about five different gaskets! Who knows...
Keeping my fingers crossed that all goes well since I still have to pay this car off either way!
